Press Release
Brussels Conference : The Connected Generation & the Impacts of ICT on Workplace Culture
The ways we work and do business today are considerably different to those of previous generations. How well does industry understand today’s ICT, social media and the impacts on workplace culture? What will tomorrow’s workplace be like when digital natives enter the labour market in force?
On Wednesday 21st of November, the European Institute for Industrial Leadership (EIIL) is organising an interactive conference to explore the threats and opportunities posed by ICT and the social media phenomenon in today’s workplace; how it will bring new working-practices and collaboration opportunities; consider possible future industry workplace scenarios and their technology needs; and explore the changing requirements of leadership of this ‘Connected Generation’.
The conference is expected to attract an attendance of 100 senior leaders and junior ‘digital natives’ and will be chaired by Kurt de Ruwe, Finalist of the CIONET ‘European Chief Information Officer of the Year 2012’ Award.
Based on the EIIL’s experience in organizing interactive research conferences, participants will develop the essential topics in moderated break-out discussions between each of the four themed keynote inputs. Conference output will form the basis of an annual survey amongst European industry leadership throughout 2013.
